Monday is coming

Tomorrow is the start of the work week, I'm all in and excited!!! There was this preacher back in the day that talked about being excited in what is ahead for us and to have the same feeling as we do when the weekend is approaching! That Sunday is coming and to get excited about church and what the Lord has in store for us!
I got my kale salad made in the fridge for my lunch tomorrow and breakfast is almost prepped! I'm excited to start the next work week, this is not always the feeling I have, so this is definitely of the Lord!
My friend Chris over at www.shesallthatsister.com has a wonderful kale salad recipe, so please check that out! Her website is fantabulous! The photos they take and the traveling they do is so much fun to read about, so please check her website out!
What are your plans for the new week?? Are you dreading the week or excited?? Is your cup half full or half empty?? Things have not changed for me at work. but my attitude has and that's all that matters to me! I have 1 year left to work full time, then I hope to go to 4 days maybe 3. See what the Lord says! Blessings!

Prayer time

A couple of weeks ago I posted about prayer and the importance of it! To take daily time whether it's 5 minutes or 20. minutes, prayer will add protection to your life. Protection from who? One guess, the enemy of Christ! Ephesians 6:11 says "Put on all of the God's armor so that you will able to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil." Did you get that?? We have protection for that enemy of all mankind that has been hanging around too much and bullying too many of our families for far too long! When I posted that, man, I got hammered by him, but " Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world." My God wins and prayer works! Those of you who are joining me, how is it going for you? Memory verses are important, have you chosen some to memorize?? I working on a few, praying them every day and believing the power that is the verses. I did a memory verse a week a couple of years ago and I had someone at church who kept me accountable. I chose verses with the word hope in it, because Jesus is our living hope ! This year, my word is joy, so guess what I'm reading joy verses!! Get busy and start your prayer time! Blessings!!

Mom

Today is a sad and reflective day for me. 28 yrs. ago my mom, my friend, my counselor, my sounding box died. She had a massive heart attack and it took 2 months for her to go home! I remember that I begged and pleaded with God to heal her, so she could stay a little longer with us, but He took her. I was pretty mad at God for a while, about 3 yrs. But as I reflect back. I see His hand all the way to that phone call that she had passed. I one time spoke to a ladies group about the pain and the joy, but I don't truly think that people understand the pain some people have at the time of death. The shock and the joy that the loved one is home with Jesus without pain is bittersweet. Death is painful for us the living, but joy on the other side! So saying all that, today is Mom's going home anniversary and I'm glad that Jesus is my Savior, so I have the hope of seeing her again someday! Blessings!

Any Resolutions???

Did you make any resolutions for the new year?? I made one, to pray more and spend more time with The Word. I had one person respond to my challenge in the last post, I'm so sorry you all aren't doing this challenge/resolution with me! Thanks, Chris!!! Love that girl, she is so lovely inside and out!!!
So, with my new planner, I set up each day with a love one of mine and their name on the top of that day. My daughter and I started praying for my son (her brother) and his family last year. My prayers got lazy and now I'm on a deeper roll with prayer time! Oh , I prayed for them , but it didn't have much substance to the prayers. I want to see Jesus working in my life, so He can shine the way for them! Lord, change me and how I respond!
I am again reading through the Bible! I usually get stuck somewhere in Deuteronomy with all the laws, but plug through. Old Testament is long, but I love 1 Kings and 2 Kings. Blessings!!

I'm back!
