samples

I hope you will try that bread. Don't knead it, just divide it and bake!
This week is 4th of July and the grocery store will be very busy! One of the samples this week will be a corn salad recipe that I found at the Kraft food website. It has chili cheese fritos in it for a crunch! I don't know what other salad I will get ready for the celebration, maybe snicker salad, something very easy and fun! I will include recipes for them later! Last night I saw on thepioneerwoman.com blog's a potato salad that called for ricing the potatoes, I never had that or thought of that, I would think it would be more like mashed potatoes and would change the texture of potato salad. Any thoughts on that or have you had that kind of salad?? Have a great day!

bread

I just made some homemade bread. It takes a little bit, but the basic start is 5 minutes! Yes, I said 5 minutes, of course there are more steps than the first and that takes up to 2 hours. So, here's my recipe that I have adapted from the main recipe: 3 cups of cool water, 1 1/2 tablespoons of yeast. Stir this together(you can add some salt, but I found the bread too salty), add 6 cups of flour, this mixture will be very wet and loose, don't worry it's going to be ok!! Let that set in a bowl with plastic wrap or a clean ice cream bucket for 45 minutes. Then divide the dough into 2 loaves in greased or sprayed pans. Let that set for 45 minutes covered with plastic wrap. Preheat oven to 450 degrees, bake the bread for 5 minutes at 450, then turn oven down to 375 degrees for 20 minutes more. Turn bread out of pan after taking out oven, let it cool before slicing!!! Get the butter and jam, ENJOY!!!

Starting

Well, I'm starting this blog for food lovers like myself! Come and join the fun! I work at a local grocery store and do demos for the store 2 times a week. We are trying to jazz up the demos, so if you have any ideas let me know! I am limited on what we can do, but I will take all the help and ideas I can get!

Food is my passion! I love to feed people and entertain! My husband on the other hand is a one on one person, so big dinner parties are not his cup of tea!

I'm back!

Hello, I hope everyone is well and will find this blog again! I'm going to try and blog again!  So much has happened in the last two ye...
